Christmastime fun

We have had lots of fun this Christmas! My sister and fam came up from the Keys and there was lots of fun cousin play with the occasional,"That's mine" fight. We didn't take many pics...I guess we were having too much fun. These are some that I captured on my phone (my Christmas present). :) I don't even have any opening presents...craziness. It was so fun to watch Xavie open presents this year. He really gets it...he thanked Santa a bunch for his new trains. He also made sure to thank his family for his presents. He made out! This boy is getting a major train collection! We sure have been enjoying playing with our presents.
X's train collection...is growing and GROWING...thanks to all of our family and friends for contributing to Xavier's passion for trains. :)

Some awesome hand me down blocks. Our boys are so lucky to have older cousins who lovingly go through their toys every year and give them to X and X.
Xavie loves his little brother. He is always hugging him lately. Love it!!!
Puzzles!!! Xavier has gotten great at them. We have a "puzzle table" now.

This is how I found the rocking chair when I was cleaning up. CUTE! What will I do when there are no more teddy bears lying around?
Benny is such a good big cousin. He is growing up so much and really loves his baby cousins.
He takes care of them. So cute!

Fun at Nani and Papi's with Benny and WyWy. We kept hearing throughout the house, "WyWy, where ARE you!?" and then, "Xavie, where ARE you?" Hilarious and awesome.

Xavie loves swinging lately. We sing Old MacDonald a hundred times and he laughs and laughs.
Walking his cousins' scooter around at Nani's. He just straddled it and waddled around. Ha!
Checking out all of the Chuggington trains he has and all the ones he still needs/wants.
An awesome hand me down playhouse. Xavier played with this when he was smaller and he seems to love it again. We broke it out for Xanman this Christmas. Both boys are having a blast.
This little boy started walking this Christmas...the 26th to be exact. 10 months old and walking...should I be worried? :)
Cuckoo for puffs!

Thank you to my amazing photographer sister for the next few shots. She captures the best moments. :)

Making memories with family - that's what it's all about!

Happy New Year!

Family Resemblance

We were looking through pictures the other day, and we came across some that made our mouths drop! Xavier is my twin and Xander is Trav's twin. It is really pretty crazy...even crazier in person.

We each have a look alike. :)

Santa Round 2

Wow - what a difference a couple of days makes. Xavier must have really thought about his second chance with Santa. He walked up to Santa today, excited and courageous. He sat on his lap, smiled, and actually...he wouldn't leave. I told Santa that we had been here two days ago, and X wanted to come back because he was so shy. Before  I peeled him away, Santa looked up at me and said, "Now, he doesn't want to leave." So sweet!

Santa - Round 1

Today, we went to see Santa! Xavier was so excited. He has been talking about this for weeks. He told me a million times what he would ask Santa for...Murdoch and Cranky (Thomas trains that he has wanted for a while).

Last year, Xavie cried big time...

So, we went this year with renewed courage and hope. Xavie kept saying, "I no cry this time."

Well - he didn't cry. He was super calm, but SUPER shy. Actually, his whole body was limp and heavy against me. You know when your kids can make themselves dead weight? Well, that's what Xavie was doing as Dear Sweet Santa was chatting him up about the elves making his Thomas toys and getting them under the tree by Christmas. He was leaning against me and staring at Santa with a little smile on his face. He would NOT budge though. I couldn't get him anywhere near Santa's lap. Here are the pics Trav managed to take...nothing frameworthy.

Oh - and Xavier decided to put vasoline in his hair today...hence the greasiness. Even after a shower, it would not come out. So, we WON'T do that for our next Santa trip. ;)

So, we talked to Nani and Mema on the phone, telling them how Santa was SO nice, but Xavie was a little shy. I guess Xavier was listening because later, he said to me, "Momma, when I wake up (from his nap), we go to the mall?" I asked why and he said, "See Santa again. I not be shy this time." UGH - is that cute or what!? So, we will go back for Round 2 soon. Xavier assures me that he will sit on Santa's lap this time.

Here are some pics of the XanMan too. He was mesmerized by Santa's soft furry coat. I think he needs another round too - we just couldn't get a good pic. Maybe it was the photographer... hee hee. Don't tell Trav I said that. He was holding a child while taking the pics.

Just a side note - this Santa is the NICEST, MOST WONDERFUL man ever. I really find myself walking away thinking I just talked to THE Santa Claus and not just his helper. I get all giddy and excited like I did when I was little. Santa is magical.
